Finding Light

I planted some seeds a few weeks ago and they have begun to sprout. I put them on my workbench in my upstairs studio next to a window. I marvel at how they seek the warmth of the sun. How they crane their fragile stems toward the light.

I believe that as humans, we too, search for light in our life. We may seek a different light, but I do believe that as a whole, we prefer light to darkness.

My light is family, connection, creativity, and love. It is hard to be near family and yet so far away. No hugs, no kiss on the cheek, no touch of affection. But we still find a way to connect. To check in with one another daily, to uplift each other with laughter, to hold each other from afar.

What is your light? What do you reach for?
