One day at a time

Good morning! The sun is shining! Well yesterday I didn't get nearly as much done as I had hoped. So today I will try again. No hurry, just taking it one day at a time. I made 13 masks yesterday. They were harder than I thought to make, mainly because I am not a seamstress. I have a sewing machine and know how to follow a pattern, but that's about it. I don't take the time to finish edges, line the fabric up perfectly, or even make sure the darts are in the correct place. But my masks will cover your face and the darts help it to fit snug. I wish they would have turned out better, but at least they are done. These were made for family and friends so it was more about sharing my heart than perfection. Perfectionism is one thing I have never struggled with. Mainly because I know there is no perfect. But I do know how crippling perfectionism can be for people. I watch someone I love dearly struggle with this. They remain in a cycle of "it's never good enough". Give yourself grace today. Done is better than perfect! Hats off to all the sewers out there making masks for our front line. The time, effort, and materials you are putting in to do this is amazing.
