A few things to share from my day.
"Done is better than perfect", Today, my daughter and son-in-law were at the grocery store and saw a lady in a wheel chair wearing a folded up puppy pee pad as a mask with two rubber bands on it. My daughter gave her one of the masks I had made the other day. So glad that I didn't wait until I perfected the masks. The haphazard mask I completed was just perfect for someone without one.
My son-in-law is a high school teacher at Salem/Kaiser school district. They were told yesterday no in-school instruction for the rest of the school year.I asked my daughter how he was feeling about it. She told me, "he's bummed". It was the first time I had even considered how our teachers must be feeling. I had focused so much on how the students were being impacted, I neglected to think of the impact on teachers. He said he will miss all his students especially the seniors whom he may not see again.
Jamie Webb posted this today, "Your struggles are valid even if others are struggling more". And that is the truth! Yes, I can empathize with what others are going through but that doesn't mean I can't also be sad about how this is impacting my loved ones.
We carry on!
